A New Beginning?
Well… it’s been over two years since I first gave this a shot. Time can go fast, even when you're not having fun. It’s hard to remember why I stopped posting back in 2005. A host of reasons I’m sure. As I recall Blogger was slow, unstable, often inaccessible, I wonder if it will fare any better now… And then I probably got distracted then by the season, (Autumn is my Favorite) and then the holidays, the start of a new job. Then there is 2006, a year of hospitals and funerals then more hospitals and very little left over to spare much attention to my community or much of anything else in the wider world. Things change and we change with them, or at least adapt as best we can. I now live in Genesee County where I spent my latter childhood years, before Jr. High, and "Star Wars," and California…
There hasn’t been a place where I’ve lived or even visited that didn’t capture my heart in some way. My heart is still in Shiawassee, as it is in California, and Texas, and Washington, and Kansas City, each still hold places and people I love, and memories I treasure. So I’ll remain Shiawassee Deb, even as I move from here to there and back again, and again. And even as I find a way to focus again on the world from this new perspective… But then it’s always a new perspective isn’t? For we’re always moving… even when we don’t realize it.

1 Comments:
Shiawassee River is navigable from Holly thru Fenton.
HeadWatersTrails Inc. is clearing deadfall and removing garbage making the river fun for paddlers.
